What a great protest - Now go vote!
Thanks to all who came out, signs in hand, kids under foot, braving the rising wind and cold, to demonstrate in front of the Northeast Branch of the Library on Monday, October 27th. We had a great turn out. The Star-News reported “about 100″ protesters. But our count was closer to 150. And that would be about 145 more people than who went inside to Titan’s final workshop. Together, we are showing that we’ve heard enough from Titan and its “community forums”? We’re saying that it’s our turn to speak.
If you haven’t already, we urge you to check out the recent articles in Star-News and see where the politicians stand on the Titan issue. Many people have contacted us for specific voting advice. We cannot endorse any candidates — we’d like to! — but we can certainly point you to the following links. Please use the best protest and communication tools we have, and vote in this upcoming election. Let’s send a message to elected officials that this is our community and that we want leaders who will protect not just our economy, but also our quality of life and the health and safety of our children As always, THANK YOU!
