Stop Titan fundraiser at the Kornerstone!

Friends and Neighbors!

The Election results are in and many anti-Titan candidates were swept into office on the rising tide of resentment against the Titan at our door! Now is the time to keep the pressure on…..so…..

Come on down to Kornerstone Wood-fired Pizzeria in the Porter’s Neck Shopping Center next Tuesday night, Nov.18, from 6 PM to 9 PM for some delicious food, wine, live music and community activism as we host our second fundraising event to put the brakes on Titan Cement. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased via Paypal at http://www.stoptitan.org/kornerstone. For the price of a pair of kid’s tennies, you can get salad, entree, desert, and wine, along with the very latest update on the fight to keep our community from becoming home to the fourth largest cement plant in the nation. Not to mention the satisfaction of contributing to the fight. All accompanied by the folk/rock rhythms of our very own Frank Bruno. We’ll also have a silent auction with lots of fun things for you to bid on. If you have anything you’d like to donate to the auction, contact Clifton Cash at cfcash@hotmail.com or call him at 910-471-7747.

Or, if you can’t make it:

Titan is spending tens of thousands of dollars on their slick PR campaign to convince us their pollution tastes great and is less filling than our Carolina air and Castle Hayne Aquifer. We need a few more greenbacks to burst their bubble. So belly up to the Kornerstone, and help keep the StopTitan bandwagon rolling.

Be there or be L-7 (something I heard once in the early ’90s)

See ya there!

I am just wondering what semi-formal means for the Kornerstone event.
When I retired I left most of my adult clothes behind.

Thanks Rich, As long as you are fully dressed, you’re good. Personally, I only have about 3 different variations on the same outfit, so there’s no distinction between semi or formal or basic shirt and pant combo in my closet. Main thing is you join us for good food, music and help support the cause. Also, we forgot to put the time on the action alert.. It’s 6 - 9 pm on Nov. 18th. And, we’re also having a silent auction. Anyone with donations or ideas for donations, please contact Clif Cash at cfcash@hotmail.com or call him at 910-471-7747. We’ll send out another reminder on the action alert with this information included but feel free to pass it around in the meantime. Thanks!
