Katy’s Goes Ka-Ching!

Thanks to everyone who made the trip down South College to Katy’s for last Sunday’s StopTitan fundraiser, MC’d by everyone’s favorite Recyclo Man, Mr. Clifton Cash of GreenCoast Recycling. Because of you, and the sweat equity of the GreenCoast crew, sweet tunes from Airlie Ires and Organix, great food and drinks from our hostess with the mostess, Katy Monahan and the friendly staff of Katy’s, not to mention all the donations from local businesses and artists that Cliff raffled off, StopTitan raised nearly $3,000 to continue the battle against Titan cement–a company that netted more than $300 million last year. OK, so it’s a little David and Goliathish. But we all remember who won that one, don’t we?

Thanks again to everyone who came by. We’ll post another detailed thank you with all the donors names–once we figure out how to spell them. And in a few days we’ll let you know how we hope to spend the loot to get the most visible bang for the buck. So stay tuned!
