Come One, Come All to Katy’s!
As you make your weekend plans, don’t forget the StopTitan.org fundraiser this Sunday, June 8, from 5pm to 9pm at Katy’s, located at 1054 S. College Road. A $10 cover gets you live music, drinks, and a plethora of citizens action. Come join the fun and help us keep Titan in Greece!
P.S. No cement overshoes allowed on the dance floor.

i think that the cement plant should move to this area. if you would all stop and think about it, it would bring many needed jobs to this area. all this is , is just a bunch of rich people that want wilmington and the surrounding areas a “retirement and resort community”well you all need to think about the people that dont have a job and are looking for job oppturnities. quit your whining and leave this issue ALONE!!!
Note: “christie”, who’s just commented here, is an employee of Titan Cement, as this request for Titan drivers elsewhere makes clear:
There’s nothing wrong with Titan discussing issues on this site — there may be others in addition to christie. But it’s courteous to identify yourself if you do.
That was great fun last night. Cliff and James at Green Coast Recycling did a wonderful job with the whole thing — I liked the slide show of that area of the river and the old plant, especially, also the auction…Organix sounded *great* too, though we were heading out to put the little one to bed just as they were creepin’ in.
Cliff, any word on How That Went, fundraiser-wise?
Stoppers, look for a meeting shortly to focus on next efforts.
