I strongly oppose the Department of Air Quality’s plan to issue a draft air permit to Titan America for their proposed cement plant and limestone mine along the banks of the Northeast Cape Fear River near Castle Hayne, NC.
The UNCW Environmental Concerns Organization has developed a video that outlines the dangers of Titan Cement’s proposed plant and urges viewers to get involved. Stop Titan!
Hundreds of concerned citizens and several local politicians packed the northeast branch of the New Hanover County Library last night for a public forum on the massive cement plant proposed by Titan America. The company once again declined to participate and answer questions from the public, just as they pulled out of a previous forum sponsored by the Star-News.
